HEROIC earns spot at TI 2025 via SA Closed Qualifier
It’s an exciting time for Dota 2 esports fans across the globe. After Valve announced the eight Direct Invites to The International 2025, the regional Closed Qualifiers kicked off in June, starting with Eastern Europe and South America. Let’s take a look at the results of the latter.
HEROIC wins SA Closed Qualifier
HEROIC came out on top of the South American Closed Qualifier for The International 2025, earning the one available spot in the tournament’s main event. They kicked things off in the Upper Bracket quarterfinals with a 2-0 win over Infamous Gaming, and managed to beat Sin Compromiso 2-1 in the semifinals.
However, HEROIC fell to the lower bracket after a devastating 2-1 defeat against Edge in the Upper Bracket final. The squad showed their big match temperament to bounce back in the Lower Bracket final, beating OG.LATAM in a close 2-1 match.
In the Grand Final of the TI 2025 SA Closed Qualifier, HEROIC took revenge on Edge. After Edge won the first game, HEROIC won three in a row to close out the best-of-five grand finale with a convincing 3-1 score.
