The International 2023 results & highlights
At The International 2023, we saw the best Dota 2 esports teams in the world compete for their share of the huge $3,149,242 prize pool. While the prize pool has significantly shrunk from the previous years, the players still showed no mercy on their opponents, and we saw some of the best Dota matches in recent memory. Here’s what went down at The International 2023.

In front of a live crowd in Seatle, USA, at the Climate Pledge Arena, the finals took place on 29 October 2023, featuring the remaining teams with a shot at the Aegis of Champions.

The TI2021 champions, Team Spirit, came out swinging with a reverse sweep against Virtus.pro in the playoffs, then beat Team Liquid 2-1, and smacked Chinese powerhouse LGD Gaming down 2-0 to make it to the grand finals of The International 2023.
Gaimin Gladiators had an incredible lower-bracket run, beating 9Pandas 2-0, Nouns 2-0, Team Liquid 2-1, Azure Ray 2-0 and LGD Gaming 2-0 to earn a spot in the grand finale and face Team Spirit.
In the grand final of The International 2023, Team Spirit didn’t pull any punches. Team Spirit dominated their opponents with a 3-0 victory to win The International 2023 and lift the Aegis of Champions.
With the win, Team Spirit became the second team in Dota 2 esports history to win multiple The International tournaments and got the first-place prize of $1,417,305 for their effort, while Gaimin Gladiators limps away with $377,892 in prize money.
A big congratulations go out to Team Spirit for their dominating performance at The International 2023 and their second Aegis of Champions!
