PGL Wallachia Season 1 results & highlights
In Bucharest, Romania, we saw 16 of the best Dota 2 esports teams in the world compete for their share of the $1 million prize pool at PGL Wallachia Season 1. It was the first event in PGL’s expansive plans, and it delivered with top-tier entertainment and the best teams competing furiously. Here’s what went down!
PGL Wallachia Season 1 results

In the playoffs, we saw Chinese juggernauts Xtreme Gaming take charge, beating G2 x iG, Team Spirit, and Team Falcons in convincing 2-0 sweeps to make it to the grand final of PGL Wallachia Season 1. Despite getting knocked down to the lower bracket early on, Team Spirit recovered, beating BOOM Esports 2-0, G2 x iG 2-0, and Team Falcons 2-1 to make it to the grand final of PGL Wallachia Season 1.
The grand final between Xtreme Gaming and Team Spirit was one of the closest in recent memory. Xtreme Gaming opened up with a Game 1 win, and Team Spirit retaliated with a win in Game 2, tieing up the grand final.
While Game 3 was exceptionally close, the Chinese powerhouse pushed through to take a win, making it 2-1 and putting themselves on match point. Team Spirit showed their big match temperament and, from the backfoot, managed two wins in a row to beat Xtreme Gaming 3-2 and become the PGL Wallachia Season 1 champion!
A big congratulations go out to Team Spirit for their fantastic run through the lower bracket and comeback in the grand final. They win the first-place prize of $300,000, while Xtreme Gaming limps away with $170,000 in prize money.
