PGL announces huge Dota 2 events for 2024 and beyond
With tournament organizers filling the gaps left by the cancellation of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC), I had some concerns about Dota 2 esports leading up to The International 2024 and beyond. Tournament organizer PGL has, for all intents and purposes, smashed all concerns to bits, announcing massive Dota 2 events for years to come.
PGL Dota 2 Events Revealed
In an exciting blog post, PGL officially revealed a three-year commitment and expansion in Dota 2 esports, with at least eight huge tournaments featuring $1 million prize pools, with two events in 2024 and the first one starting relatively soon!
Before we get to the future tournaments, you should mark your calendars for 10 to 19 May 2024, when the PGL Wallachia Season #1 will take place in Bucharest as a LAN event featuring 16 of the best teams in the world. Open Qualifiers actually begin this week (21 to 24 March) and Closed Qualifiers later this month, from 25 to 28 March! Now, onto what PGL had to say about their three-year Dota 2 esports commitment.
PGL announced that:

The second PGL Dota 2 tournament of 2024 will take place between 15 and 24 November.
