Valve could release a new CS:GO Operation soon according to rumours
It has been a year since the release of Operation Shattered Web, the 9th Operation for CS:GO. With CS 1.0 turning 20 years old this week, and a year passing before a new CS:GO Operation, it looks like Valve might be gearing up to release the 10th Operation, according to some relatively credible insiders.
New CS:GO Operation
A new entry in the SteamDB page for CS:GO, as spotted by level designer and weapon skin maker, Julien “Hollandje” Heesterman, points towards a possible new Operation coming soon. According to leaks, the new CS:GO Operation release date is set for between before 20th November 2020.
A prominent Valve insider and leaker, known only as Nors3, replied to Julien’s findings on Twitter, explaining that: “
“Well, since it’s pretty much known to the public: Operation 10 is confirmed and it will be released really soon (set to this week but maybe the next Valve Time). I have been silent about this for the hype (I got the info confirmed info days ago). Brace yourselves, winter is coming.”
At the time of writing, Valve has not officially revealed the new CS:GO Operation. As always, you should remember to take rumours such as this one with a large helping of salt. Saying that, however, it is about time for a new CS:GO Operation to get released.
Nors3 also mentioned “Winter is coming” pointing towards a possible Winter theme for the new CS:GO Operation. Judging by Operation Shattered Web, one can expect new Agent skins, a Battle Pass-like system, and a whole lot of rewards.
Hopefully, we will get some official info on the rumoured new CS:GO Operation soon.
