Sinister5 announces their new CS:GO roster
South African MGO, Sinister5, has announced their new CS:GO roster and it looks scary. This roster could very well shake up the South African CS:GO esports scene. Two new members join the team. And by ‘new’ I mean highly experienced in Richard “deviaNt” Groves and Ruan “ELUSIVE” van Wyk.
The new Sinister5 CS:GO roster
If you’ve been following the local scene closely for years, then one thing instantly jumps out about this new squad. The van Wyk brothers have been united in the new Sinister5 CS:GO roster. Check out the roster of this OG squad below:

- Ruan “ELUSIVE” van Wyk
- Gareth “FreakY” Glanville
- Daniel “spoof” van Wyk
- James “zerOch4Nce” Wijnberg
The Sinister5 CS:GO squad looks frighteningly good right now. Both new additions, Richard “deviaNt” Groves and Ruan “ELUSIVE” van Wyk are legends of the local scene, and I don’t use that word lightly. They have been some of the country’s top players for several years now and both have multiple championship titles under their belts.Â
Richard “deviaNt” Groves said on Twitter that:
“After semi-retiring (can’t really say retiring now) from CS:GO at the end of last year, I’m back for more already. More fun and more headshots with the OG (old guys) club.”
With the announcement of the new CS:GO roster, Sinister5 bid farewell to Dylan “dyvo” Vorster and Dean “HackeM” Seyfried.
The organization explains on Twitter that:
“With the recent roster change, we say goodbye to dyvo and HackeM. We’d like to thank them both for their long service and contributions. We wish them all the best for the future!“
We are excited to see how the new Sinister5 CS:GO roster performs and if they can shake things up in the local scene.
