PGL Antwerp Major 2022 RMR Europe B viewer’s guide

The PGL Antwerp Major Europe B RMR event is the final qualification tournament ahead of the PGL Antwerp Major which kicks off next month. We expect some top-tier CS:GO esports action for fans across the globe to watch. Here’s what you need to know about this RMR event leading up to PGL Antwerp 2022.

PGL Antwerp RMR Europe B details

The PGL Antwerp Major Europe B RMR event runs from 21st to 24th April 2022. Matches are scheduled to begin at 11:00 SAST time each day, which is great for those watching from South Africa.

The tournament features a 16 Team Swiss System Format, and the Buchholz system is used to seed matches from Round 3 to 5. All matches are best-of-one, with the exception of the Elimination and Advancement matches, which are best-of-three affairs. The third-place decider is also a best-of-three match. Eight teams will advance to the PGL Antwerp Major, and the other eight teams will be eliminated.

As one of the RMR tournaments featuring the strongest lineup of teams, including the likes of Astralis, NIP and G2 Esports and Players (Gambit) we can’t wait to see who comes out on top. Check out the list of teams competing below.

For this RMR event, there are three Legend status spots, and five Challenger status spots available, alongside a prize pool of $85,000. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R1.27 million. Check out the prize pool distribution below.

  • 1st place – $42,500 and Legend status.
  • 2nd place – $21,250 and Legend status.
  • 3rd place – $12,750 and Legend status.
  • 4th place – $8,500 and Challenger status.
  • 5th to 8th place – Challenger status.
