CS:GO esports fans saw IEM Dallas 2022 come to a thrilling conclusion at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, USA, over the weekend. Here’s what went down at the event, including a highlights video of the grand final.
IEM Dallas 2022 results and highlights
16 teams competed for their share of the $250,000 prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s nearly R4 million. With the ex-Gambit roster now playing under Cloud9, these players had a lot to prove at this exciting LAN event.

Cloud9 did falter a bit in the group stage but managed to qualify for the playoffs, where they faced Antwerp Major champions FaZe Clan in the first round of the single-elimination bracket.
Cloud9, to the surprise of many CS:GO esports fans, reverse-sweeped FaZe to knock them out of IEM Dallas 2022 with a 2-1. While reverse-sweeps do not happen too often, Cloud9 also managed to reverse-sweep German squad BIG with a thrilling 2-1 to make it to the grand final of the tournament.
In the best-of-five grand final, Cloud9 didn’t waste any time against ENCE, winning 16-12 on Mirage, 16-11 on Overpass and a crushing 16-3 on Ancient to claim the IEM Dallas 2022 trophy.
For their efforts, Cloud9 wins $100,000 while ENCE limps away with $42,000. Sergey “â Ax1Leâ ” Rykhtorov claimed his first LAN MVP award in the process.
A big congratulations go out to Cloud9 for their reverse-sweeping playoffs run followed by a crushing defeat of ENCE at the tournament.
