ESEA ZA Spring Cash Cup with $1000 prize pool announced
Gamedock and ESEA have announced the “first of many” Cash Cups for South African CS:GO squads to enjoy. The first ESEA ZA 5v5 Spring Cash Cup is scheduled to take place next weekend. Here’s what you need to know about the upcoming tournament.
ESEA ZA 5v5 Spring Cash Cup #1 details
The announcement gives promise of more tournaments of a similar nature to come, but for now we only have details about the first ESEA ZA 5v5 Spring Cash Cup. First up, the ESEA ZA 5v5 Spring Cash Cup will take place on 24 and 25 April 2021. Registration ends just before the first day gets underway. Therefore, you should have more than enough time to get a team together.
You and your team will need an ESEA Premium or Insider membership to join. If you have one already, or would like to sign up, head on over to the tournament’s page on the ESEA website to throw your hat into the ring. There’s a prize pool of $1,000 USD on the line. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R14,400, which is really nice for a two-day event.
Prize pool distribution:
- 1st place – $750
- 2nd place – $250
On Day 1 of the ESEA ZA 5v5 Spring Cash Cup #1, which is 24 April, teams will fight their way through the Open Qualifiers. The first day will start at 16:00 SAST. At the end of the day, four teams will advance to the semifinals of the tournament.
The semifinals are scheduled to take place on 25 April 2021 at 16:00 SAST. This will be followed by the final and 3rd place decider match at 19:00 SAST.
Live support will be provided at the time of the event via the ESEA Discord channel. Remember to link your Discord to the event support channel so you can get help when required.
