ESEA Season 41 South Africa – Registration and details

Earlier in April, Goliath Gaming claimed the title of ESEA Season 40 South African Main Division champions and $2,000 for their dominating effort. Now, it is almost time for ESEA Season 41 South Africa to begin. With registrations closing today, we urge all local CS:GO esports teams to join in.

ESEA Season 41 South Africa details

Registration for ESEA Season 41 South Africa is open until Monday, 18 April 2022. To get started,  you should head on over to the play.esea.net/league/register link to register without delay.

With a similar prize distribution as Season 40, and the Main division increasing to 12 teams, as well as the Intermediate division increasing to 16 teams, it’s an exciting time ahead. One can just feel the South African CS:GO esports scene growing each season, which is fantastic. Check out the structure of ESEA Season 41 South Africa below, as per a post on the ESEA website.

Open Division Structure:
  • The number of playoff teams will be determined by the overall number of signups but based on last season’s numbers would be 16 teams
  • The 1st-4th place Open teams will be promoted directly to Intermediate
Intermediate Division Structure:
  • The top 8 teams will now qualify for the Playoffs
  • The top 2 teams in Intermediate will be promoted to Main
  • The 3rd/4th Intermediate teams will play in Relegation wit the lowest-performing Main Teams.
  • The bottom 4 Intermediate teams (13th-16th place) will be demoted directly to Open.
Main Division Structure:
  • The top 8 teams will qualify for Playoffs
  • The 9th-10th Main teams will play against the top 3rd-4th Intermediate teams to compete for the remaining 2 Main spots
  • The bottom 11th-12th Main teams will be demoted directly to Intermediate.

ESEA Season 41 South Africa will feature a combined prize pool of $8,500 spread across the three divisions. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R124,000. Check out the prize pool distribution for ESEA Season 41 South Africa’s Main, Intermediate and Open divisions below.
