Each year, the Gamedock ESEA South Africa continues to expand, and 2022 is no different. The leagues bring local CS:GO esports teams great opportunities to compete. This year, the biggest prize pool ever has been allocated to the South African ESEA league, which now features a Main division, alongside an Intermediate and Open division for teams to compete in.

ESEA S40 Main ZA details

The most exciting league to follow is, of course, the ESEA S40 Main division, featuring some of the best teams in South Africa. A total of 10 teams are competing at ESEA S40 Main South Africa. The league has already begun and runs until 10 April 2022.

The Teams:
  • Bravado Gaming
  • Goliath Gaming
  • DNMK Esports
  • White Rabbit Gaming
  • ATK Academy
  • Royalty Esports
  • Rage Quit
  • Vanilla
  • Gamers Anonymous Clan
  • VYBN

The first phase of the league features a single Round-Robin format, with all matches being best-of-three. The top eight teams proceed to the playoffs. In the playoffs, there’s a double-elimination bracket with all matches being best-of-three, with the exception of the grand finals, which is best-of-five and a one map advantage for the team coming from the upper bracket.

There’s a total prize pool of $5,500 in the ESEA Season 40 Main South Africa league. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R85,500 which is just awesome to see.
