BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2023 Americas viewer’s guide

At the end of March, CS:GO esports fans are in for some treats with the two last-chance qualifiers for the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2023. We are, of course, talking about the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2023 for the Americas and Europe. This article focuses on the former.

BLAST Spring Showdown Americas details

The BLAST Premier Spring Showdown Americas tournament will run from 29 March to 2 April 2023. Eight teams who didn’t make it through the Fall Groups to the Fall Finals will compete for one singular spot. The format is a single-elimination bracket with all matches being best-of-three. There’s no room for error in this online event.

The tournament features teams from both North and South America. There’s also a prize pool of $67,500 on the line. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R1.2 million. That’s still quite a bit of money, but the most important thing for the teams competing has to be the one spot at the BLAST Premier Fall Final.

Teams competing:
  • Complexity Gaming
  • Team Liquid
  • Evil Geniuses
  • FURIA Esports
  • Imperial Esports
  • paiN Gaming
  • MIBR
  • Imperial Esports

This is essentially a last-chance qualifier. Only the winning team will make it to the BLAST Premier Fall Finals. The other seven will miss out. You can catch all the action via the official BLAST Premier Twitch channel. Since this is an Americas tournament, matches are expected to start at roughly 19:30 SAST for South Africans and run late into the night.
