BLAST Premier Fall Showdown Americas viewer’s guide
While all CS:GO esports fans and probably their cats are excited about the IEM Rio Major starting at the end of October, relatively important events are still taking place this week. We are, of course, talking about the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown tournaments. We’ve already covered the European one, and now, we share all the important details about the Americas.
Fall Showdown Americas details
The tournament will run from 19 to 23 October 2022. Eight teams who didn’t make it through the Fall Groups to the Fall Finals will compete for one singular spot. The format is a single-elimination bracket with all matches being best-of-three, so there’s no room for error.
This is an online event featuring teams from both North and South America. There’s also a prize pool of $67,500 on the line. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R1.2 million. That’s still quite a bit of money, but the most important thing for the teams competing has to be the one spot at the BLAST Premier Fall Final.
Teams competing:
- MIBR
- Evil Geniuses
- Complexity Gaming
- 00 Nation
- VERTEX Esports Club
- Fluxo
- Team oNe eSports
- Sharks Esports
This is essentially a last-chance qualifier. Only the winning team will make it to the BLAST Premier Fall Finals. The other seven will miss out.
You can catch all the action via the official BLAST Premier Twitch channel. Since this is an Americas tournament, matches start at 19:30 for South Africans and run late into the night.
