BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2022 Europe viewer’s guide

With ESL Pro League Season 16 now complete, the next big CS:GO esports tournament is already on the horizon. We are, of course, talking about the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2022, where teams from Europe and the Americas have one last shot at getting to the massive BLAST Premier Fall Finals. Here’s what CS:GO esports fans need to know.

Fall Showdown 2022 Europe details

First up, it is important to note that two BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2022 tournaments are running simultaneously, one for the Americas and one for Europe. This article focuses on the latter, which is an online event featuring a prize pool of $67,500. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R1.2 million.

While that’s still quite a bit of money, the most important thing for the teams competing has to be the one spot at the BLAST Premier Fall Final for the winner.

The tournament will run from 19 to 23 October 2022. Eight teams who didn’t make it through the Fall Groups to the Fall Finals will compete for one singular spot. The teams competing are:

  • Astralis
  • Team Vitality
  • BIG
  • Heroic
  • TYLOO
  • Eternal Fire
  • Sangal
  • ECSTATIC

Those are some big names for what is essentially a last-chance qualifier. It will surely be an exciting tournament, especially with the BLAST Premier production value we all know and love.

You can catch all the action via the official BLAST Premier Twitch channel. Since this is a European tournament, matches should start during the morning or early after noon for South Africans. At the time of writing, the exact start times have not been revealed.
