ATK to compete in EPL S17 North American Conference

Featuring South Africans Gareth “MisteM” Ries and Rhys “Fadey” Armstrong, ATK Arena’s CS:GO squad is set to compete at the ESL Pro League Season 17 North American Conference tournament, with a shot at making it into the ESL Pro League Season 17 main event. Here’s what you need to know.

ATK at EPL S17 NA Conference

During the ESL Pro League Season 17 North American Conference event, teams will compete for two spots at the ESL Pro League Season 17. This huge event takes place in February and features a massive $850,000 prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R14.5 million. Definitely a lot on the line.

ATK’s CS:GO squad basically has to win one match during the ESL Pro League Season 17 North American Conference to make it to the main event. They are competing against only two other teams, MIBR and Nouns Esports. ATK’s CS:GO squad will start in the Upper Bracket Final, awaiting the winner of MIBR and Nouns Esports.

If ATK beats the winner of MIBR and Nouns Esports in a best-of-three match, they will qualify for the main event of ESL Pro League Season 17. If they lose, they will have one more shot against the loser of MIBR and Nouns Esports to make it to the prestigious event.

The Upper Bracket Final takes place on 20 January at 04:00 SAST, while the Lower Bracket Final takes place on 21 January at 04:00 SAST. You can watch ATK’s matches via the official ESL CS:GO Twitch channel and show your support if you happen to be up that early!
