Just as the dust starts to settle over IEM Dallas 2024, which G2 Esports won in a dramatic finale, another big Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports tournament is about to begin. Here’s what you need to know about the YaLLa Compass 2024 event kicking off on 5 June.

YaLLa Compass 2024 details

At the Space 42 Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, 12 strong CS2 teams will compete for their share of the $400,000 prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R7.4 million. YaLLa Compass 2024 runs from 5 to 9 June 2024, which means there’s some great CS2 action to look forward to this weekend.

The tournament begins with a group stage featuring two round-robin groups with six teams each, where all matches are BO1. Groups have already been drawn, so check out the teams in each group below.

Group A teams:
  • Astralis
  • ENCE
  • NIP
  • The MongolZ
  • Sashi Esport
Group B teams:
  • BetBoom Team
  • Fnatic
  • BIG
  • Eternal Fire
  • Complexity

The top three teams from each group advance to the playoffs of YaLLa Compass 2024, with seeding in the playoffs bracket depending on their final standing in their respective group. The playoffs stage is a single-elimination bracket affair, with all matches being BO3.

The event is organized by YaLLa Esports. You can watch all the action live via the Compass_Cs2 Twitch channel.
