PGL Astana 2025 results & highlights video
At the Barys Arena in Astana, Kazakhstan, we saw some of the best Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports teams compete over the weekend for their share of a huge prize pool of $1,250,000 and the PGL Astana 2025 trophy. Here’s how things went down.

Sixteen teams competed in an exciting Group Stage, where Team Spirit and The MongolZ came out undefeated. To the surprise of many fans, G2 Esports was eliminated early. A total of eight teams survived, giving themselves a shot in the single-elimination bracket.

Favorites Team Spirit continued on with their dominating performance in the Playoffs Stage, beating Ninjas in Pyjamas in the Quarterfinals, and then had to reverse sweep an on-form FURIA Esports with a 2-1 to secure a spot in the Grand Final.
On the other side of the bracket, it was Danish powerhouse Astralis, who haven’t reached an S-Tier LAN finals since 2019, who impressed fans. Astralis took care of NAVI with a 2-1 win and reverse-sweeped Aurora Gaming 2-1 to make it to the Grand Final.
In the Grand Final of PGL Astana 2025, Team Spirit came out swinging, beating Astralis 13-5 on Dust II and 13-10 on Nuke. Astralis responded with a solid 13-5 win on Mirage, but after overtime on Train, lost 16-13 and the series 3-1.
With the win, Team Spirit claims the PGL Astana 2025 trophy. Aurora Gaming reverse-swept FURIA Esports 2-1 in the 3rd place decider match to claim a podium finish.
Team Spirit’s young superstar, Danil “donk” Kryshkovets, picked up the MVP award at PGL Astana 2025, his second of the year. Congratulations!
