CS Asia Championships 2025 results and final standings
This past weekend, Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports fans were treated to not one, but two big events coming to an end: the Thunderpick World Championship and the CS Asia Championships (CAC) 2025. In this article, we focus on the results of the latter, so let’s jump in.
Legacy wins CAC 2025
Brazilian powerhouse Legacy put the pedal to the metal in Shanghai, China, making it through the Group Stage relatively unscathed, except for one reverse-sweep loss at the hands of Team Liquid.
At the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center venue during the single-elimination Playoffs Stage of CAC 2025, we saw Legacy power up. Led by the 23-year-old Lucas “lux” Meneghini, Legacy scraped past FUT Esports with a 2-1 reverse-sweep comeback and then beat HEROIC with another 2-1 reverse-sweep comeback to grind their way to the Grand Final.
In the best-of-five Grand Final of CAC 2025, in front of a huge crowd, Legacy faced the French side 3DMAX.
Legacy won the first map, Nuke, with a 13-6 score. 3DMAX retaliated with a 13-11 win on Dust2, and a 13-5 win on Inferno. With their backs against the wall, Legacy won Train 13-10. On the final map, Ancient, Legacy dominated with a 13-6 win to close out the series 3-2, thereby winning the CAC 2025 event to earn their first top-tier LAN trophy. Congratulations!
