CS Asia Championship viewer’s guide

As one of the first big Counter-Strike 2 LAN tournaments, the CS Asia Championship 2023 is an exciting event esports fans can get behind, running this week from Wednesday to Sunday. Here’s what you need to know, including the important details, so you don’t miss any of the action.

CS Asia Championship details

Taking place in Shanghai, China, the CS Asia Championship 2023 sees eight teams compete for their share of the $500,000 prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R9.2 million!

The Group Stage takes place at the Perfect World Esports Center, featuring two groups of four teams each in a double-elimination (GSL-style) format. Opening matches are best-of-one (BO1), while all other matches are BO3. The Group Stage runs from 8 to 9 November 2023.

  • Lynn Vision

  • ENCE
Group B teams:
  • Wings Up Gaming
  • FaZe Clan
  • MOUZ
  • Ninjas in Pyjamas

Following the Group Stage of the CS Asia Championship 2023, six teams will be placed into a playoff bracket based on their performance in their respective groups. The playoffs run from 11 to 12 November 2023, featuring a single-elimination bracket, where all matches, including the grand final, are best-of-three.
