Don’t miss the BLAST.tv Austin Major playoffs this weekend
It’s been a wild ride for Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports fans at the BLAST.tv Austin Major, through three stages of competition. We saw FaZe Clan rise to the occasion and impress all onlookers, making it to the Playoffs Stage as we predicted in the Pick’Ems, thanks in part to the GOAT, Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev.
We also saw some huge upsets, such as Team Vitality’s win streak getting broken by Legacy, Team Falcons not making it through Stage 2, and G2 getting smashed in Stage 3. Now, the final eight teams will compete in a single-elimination bracket during the Playoffs Stage, which runs from 19 to 22 June 2025, featuring a single-elimination bracket where all matches are BO3.
The stage is set, as the final eight teams will compete at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, in front of a huge crowd. They are fighting for the glory of becoming a Major Championship winner and their share of the huge $1.25 million prize pool. That’s roughly R22.5 million, in case you were wondering.
