Are you ready, Call of Duty League (CDL) esports fans? Well, ready or not, the CDL 2026 Stage 2 Major, aka Major Birmingham, is taking place this weekend, and we are hyped to watch all the action unfold. Here’s what you must know so you don’t miss out!
CDL 2026 Stage 2 Major details
The CDL 2026 Stage 2 Major tournament takes place over the weekend of 27 to 29 March 2026, boasting two stages of competition. First, there’s a Play-In stage where four teams will compete in BO5 matches, with the winners moving on to the Playoffs Stage, joining the six top teams.
In the CDL 2026 Stage 2 Major Playoffs Stage, all matches are best-of-five, except for the Grand Final, which is best-of-seven. The format is a no-nonsense double-elimination bracket. The teams are competing for their share of the $365,000 prize pool, which is roughly R6.1 million. There’s also a heap of CDL Points on the line, which will help teams qualify for the next big international events.
A total of ten (10) teams are competing at the CDL 2026 Stage 2 Major, live on LAN at the bp pulse LIVE arena venue just outside of Birmingham, United Kingdom.
