COD Mobile World Championship 2025 gets Africa qualifiers
Attention, all Call of Duty fans! We’ve got some exciting news to share, and this is definitely a big one. The massive Call of Duty (COD) Mobile World Championship 2025 event will have African qualifiers for the first time ever, opening up a path for local gamers to possibly earn a spot in one of the biggest tournaments of the year!
Previously, LATAM, Japan, NA, India, and Europe were the regions with qualifiers for the annual COD Mobile World Championship events. However, thanks to a video announcement (bottom of this article) on YouTube showcasing the first details of the roadmap, the organizers revealed that Africa has now joined the fray.
The COD Mobile World Championship 2025 will feature a prize pool of $1 million, so it’s definitely not something anyone will want to miss out on. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R19 million (will fluctuate with time, of course).

I, for one, look forward to learning more about the African region. It does appear that it all begins with Solo Ranked on 25 April 2025. The first two stages are in-app, so log into COD Mobile and check it out!
At the time of writing, precise details on the Africa qualifiers have not been revealed. We’ll endeavor to update our readers once we know more, including how you could possibly enter your team into the competition.
