CDL Stage 3 Major viewer’s guide
Call of Duty esports fans are in for a treat this week as the Call of Duty League (CDL) Stage 3 Major, aka the OpTic Texas Major, begins. Here’s what you need to know, so you don’t miss out on any of the COD action this weekend.
CDL Stage 3 Major details
Taking place in Arlington, US, the CDL Stage 3 Major is a huge LAN event. It features a massive prize pool of $500,000. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R9 million to compete for.
The CDL Stage 3 Major runs from 9 to 12 March 2023, when a champion will be crowned. It features 12 of the top Call of Duty esports teams in the world. Seeding has been determined by the qualifiers. The format is a double-elimination bracket. All matches are best-of-five, with the exception of the grand finals, which is best-of-seven.
