The Trios Challenger Cup announced by EPS

The phenomena known as Fortnite has headed into a new fresh season and the local competitive scene is eager to get back into the action.

One such event is The Trios Challenger Cup, hosted and presented by Elite Pro Series and The Punishers, will have Fortnite teams across the country battle it out for a grand prize of R6,000.

This free to enter event will be taking place from 2nd to 5th July. Qualifiers will be played over 3 days with a maximum of 32 teams per day. The top eleven teams from each day’s qualifier will proceed to the grand finals

Qualifier and Finals dates:
  • Qualifier 1 – July 2nd
  • Qualifier 2 – July 3rd
  • Qualifier 3 -July 4th
  • Grand Finals – July 5th 

The prize pool will be split between the top five teams as presented below: 

  • 1st – R2,100
  • 2nd – R1,650
  • 3rd – R1,200
  • 4th – R600
  • 5th – R450

Here’s what Elite Pro Series owner Alex “Airo” Wrigley has to say about the event:

“Team-based Events such as Trios have always been the most competitive mode in Fortnite.  To see it happen in Fortnite South Africa is awesome.  This is an amazing event that Elite Pro Series and the players truly look forward to.”
