ACG 2026 announced with 7 titles and massive prize pool
The African Gaming Championship (ACG), from tournament organizer African Cyber Gaming League (ACGL), returns this year, boasting a massive combined prize pool of at least R150,000 and a plethora of esports titles for local gamers to compete in. Here’s what you must know to get started and compete!
ACG 2026 important details
First off, mark your calendars for 16 to 19 July 2026. ACG 2026 brings four days of non-stop action to the GrandWest in Cape Town. Yes, it’s an in-person event, so make those travel plans if you wish to compete in the exciting local esports events.
With seven esports titles to compete in, ACG 2026 has the biggest lineup yet, with both Tekken 8 and Free Fire joining in the fray. Sign-ups are currently open for the huge LAN event. You can jump into your favorite titles and secure your spot today via the ACG 2026 landing page.
- Brawlhalla – R10,000 (1v1)
- EA FC 26 – R30,000 (1v1)
- Fortnite – R40,000 total (Trios R30,000, Solos R10,000)
- Free Fire – R30,000 total (Squad R20,000, Solos R10,000)
- Rocket League – Nitro ASL only this year (3v3)
- Tekken 8 – R10,000 (1v1)
- Valorant – R30,000 (5v5)
Sign-ups close on 10 July 2026 at 23:55 SAST. However, sports are limited, so we suggest booking those tickets ASAP.
