Don’t miss the huge MTN SHIFT event at Canal Walk this week
Calling all esports fans! If you are in Cape Town or surrounding areas, cancel your plans and visit the biggest MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience to date!
Taking place thanks to MTN, South African tournament organizer African Cyber Gaming League (ACGL), and a host of sponsors, the MTN SHIFT event at Canal Walk serves as the conclusion to a few big events and lots of smaller, open tournaments and activities for everyone to enjoy.
First off, entry is free, so take your friends or family, and head on over to the Canal Walk Mall starting today. The MTN SHIFT event at Canal Walk runs from 26 to 30 August 2026.

The event functions will host the EA FC 2026 National Finals and MTN Beat Saber Finals, both with R50,000 prize pools. There’s also the South African qualifier for the Brawlhalla World Championships Expo, aka BCX 2026.
