Your guide to COD Warzone at EWC 2026
Calling all Call of Duty (COD) esports fans! It’s time for the Warzone Resurgence Series 2026 Championship battle royale tournament to begin at the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026 mega-event taking place in Paris, France.
Warzone Resurgence Series 2026 Championship details
The COD Warzone event at EWC 2026 is also known as the Warzone Resurgence Series 2026 Championship. It takes place this weekend, from 30 July to 2 August 2026, and boasts a huge $1 million prize pool. At the current exchange rate, that’s nearly R17 million.
There are a total of 32 Trios teams competing, including the defending champions, Twisted Minds. All 32 teams will start in the Group Stage, where they are split into two groups of 16 teams each. 12 matches will be played per group, with the top five from each group advancing directly to the Finals, while 6th-13th go to the Survival Stage, and the rest are eliminated.
In the Survival Stage, teams will compete in 10 matches, with the top six advancing to the Finals. The 16 qualified teams will compete in the Finals, where a Match Point Format is used to determine the ultimate winner, and afterward, the final standings.
