ESL Pro League Season 19 viewer’s guide
With the PGL Copenhagen Major still fresh in our minds and IEM Chengdu 2024 finishing up earlier this month, there’s yet another S-Tier Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports event kicking off very soon. In fact, ESL Pro League Season 19 begins this Tuesday, 23 April 2024. So you don’t miss any of the action, we’ve got a viewer’s guide with all the essential details to share.
ESL Pro League S19 details
ESL Pro League Season 19 runs from 23 April to 12 May 2024. A total of 32 teams are competing for their share of the $750,000 prize pool in Saint Julian’s, Malta, in front of a crowd at the InterContinental Malta venue.
The action begins with four triple-elimination format groups, with each group featuring eight teams. All matches are best-of-three. The first-place teams advance to the Quarterfinals of ESL Pro League Season 19, while the 2nd-place teams advance to the Round of 12 in the playoffs as the High Seeds. The third-placed teams in each group advance to the Round of 16 as the High Seeds, while the 4th-placed teams advance to the Round of 16 as the Low Seeds. The rest are eliminated. The playoffs are a single-elimination bracket affair, with all matches being best-of-three, with the exception of the grand final, which is best-of-five. The winner of ESL Pro League Season 19 also gets a direct invite to IEM Cologne 2024, so there’s a lot to compete for.
