All IEM Rio Major 2022 teams confirmed following RMR

The CS:GO esports action just keeps on coming. Following the exciting and nerve-wracking RMR events, we now know which 24 teams will compete at the IEM Rio Major 2022, one of the biggest CS:GO events of the year.

IEM Rio Major 2022 teams

The top CS:GO esports teams from each region duked it out in their respective RMR events to see who would make it to Brazil for the IEM Rio Major 2022. The final RMR events finished this weekend, leaving us with a list of 24 teams.

Teams are split into three categories for the three stages of the Major. The Legends teams will not compete in the first stage (Challengers Stage) and will await the eight teams that make it out of the first stage to compete against in the Legends Stage. Yes, neither G2 Esports nor Astralis made it through the RMR events and will miss out on the Major…

For South African esports fans, in particular, we would like to note that ATK’s squad almost made it to the IRM Rio Major 2022, going 2-3 in the Americas RMR. Despite falling just short of attending a CS:GO Major, the team did well against tough international competition.
