The International 2022 WEU & SEA results
With Western Europe and SEA regional qualifiers for The International 2022 now complete, two more Dota 2 esports teams have qualified for the annual event. Here’s what went down.
WEU & SEA results
In the Western Europe qualifier, we saw 12 teams, including the likes of Team Secret and Team Liquid, compete in the double-elimination bracket. However, it was Entity who managed to qualify for The International 2022 with a flawless upper-bracket run.
Entity ran through Alliance 2-0, swept Team Secret, and wrecked Team Liquid to make it to the grand final. During the grand final of the Western Europe regional qualifier, Entity wasted no time, beating Team Secret 3-0 in a very convincing fashion. Team Secret and Team Liquid have one more chance to make it to The International 2022 via the Last Chance qualifier, while the rest will miss out.
In the Southeast Asia regional qualifier, Talon Esports came out on top. They started their run by beating Lilgun 2-0, then Polaris Esports 2-0, and T1 with another clean 2-0. However, in the grand final, Talon Esports ran into some trouble against Polaris Esports. In the end, after a close 3-2 victory, Talon Esports qualified for The International 2022.
From the Southeast Asia region, Polaris Esports and T1 will have one final shot at the Last Chance qualifier.
With 18 teams now qualified for The International 2022, only two spots are left. The 2nd and 3rd place finishers from all six regions will compete in the Last Chance qualifier in October, where two will make it to The International 2022. This is their final shot at getting in, so the stakes couldn’t be higher.
