VCT 2025 China Stage 1 kicking off this week
With the dust settling over Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Masters Bangkok, and T1 claiming the trophy, it’s time for the first VCT 2025 Stage 1 regional event to begin. The best Valorant esports teams from each region are competing in Stage 1 events to claim spots in the Masters Toronto tournament, and things are kicking off with the China event. Let’s take a look at the most important details so you don’t miss out.
VCT 2025 China Stage 1 details
The VCT 2025 China Stage 1 event is absolutely huge, offering well over a month of top-tier action. The event runs from 13 March until 4 May 2025, and takes place in Shanghai, China, at the VCT CN Arena venue. There are 12 teams competing for only three spots at the Masters Toronto event, and some super-important VCT points. The winner gets 5 points, runner-up gets 3 points, 3rd place gets 2 points, and 4th place gets 1 point.
The action begins with the Group Stage, which runs for an entire month, from 13 March to 13 April 2025. In this stage, we’ll see two Round Robin groups of six teams each, where all matches are best-of-three.

Once the dust settles, the top four teams will advance to the Playoffs, with the winners of each group going directly into the Semifinals. From 17 April to 4 March 2025, the final eight teams will compete in a double-elimination Playoffs bracket. The Lower Bracket Final and the Grand Final are best-of-five, and all other matches are best-of-three.
