New VALORANT Agent Veto released
As the dust is still settling over the VALORANT Champions 2025 tournament, which NRG won in spectacular fashion in Paris, it’s time for a new Agent to emerge. Agent 29, aka Veto, has been released with the game’s latest 11.07b update.
Let’s take a look at the latest Agent from developer Riot Games, including all of its abilities that players will be able to smash the virtual battlefields with.
VALORANT Veto abilities and gameplay
Released in October 2025, Veto is a Sentinel-type Agent. The lore indicates he is powered by an “unstoppable DNA mutation.” Veto is a Senegalese enforcer who can nullify his opponent’s tech and powers.
Check out a complete list of Veto’s abilities, alongside official descriptions below, and start planning your tactics accordingly!
- Chokehold (Q)
- EQUIP a viscous fragment of your mutation. FIRE to throw. The fragment deploys upon impact, creating a trap to hold enemies in place. Held enemies are Deafened and Decayed. Enemies can destroy the trap before activation.
- Crosscut (C)
- EQUIP a vortex. FIRE to place on the ground. While in range and looking at the vortex, REACTIVATE to teleport to the vortex. During the BUY PHASE, the vortex can be reclaimed to be REDEPLOYED.
- Interceptor (E)
- EQUIP the Interceptor. FIRE to place the Interceptor at projected location. Once placed, RE-USE to activate. Once active, it will destroy any utility that would BOUNCE off a player and/or be destroyed naturally by gunfire. Enemies can destroy the Interceptor.
- Evolution (X)
- INSTANTLY begin to fully mutate, gaining a combat stim, regeneration, and becoming IMMUNE to all forms of debuffs.
In case you haven’t had a chance to play VALORANT since the Season 2025 Act V update, check out the official Veto gameplay reveal below.
It will be interesting to see how the addition of Veto affects the meta. At least teams will have quite a while to practice and refine tactics in the off-season.
