Dragon Ranger Gaming wins VCT 2026 China Ascension

The main season of VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) 2025 might be over for all regions with the conclusion of Champions Paris. However, there’s still a lot of action in the OFF/Season to enjoy, including the Ascension tournaments in each region, where teams fight for a spot in their region’s VCT leagues next year. The first of these events to finish up is VCT 2025 China Ascension.

VCT 2025 China Ascension results

On LAN in Shanghai, China, eight teams battled for only one spot in VCT 2025. The competition was fierce, and included Dragon Ranger Gaming, a team that placed 2nd at VCT 2025 China Stage 2 Playoffs, but was forced into Ascension due to XLG Esports’ higher finish at Champions Paris.

Dragon Ranger Gaming came out of the gate swinging in Group A of VCT 2025 China Ascension, beating both Thunder Gaming and Zhu Chao Gaming with 2-0 scores to top the group, and move onto the Playoffs Stage.

In the Playoffs Stage, Dragon Ranger Gaming shockingly lost 2-0 to Any Questions. However, the squad bounced back with immense vigor in the lower bracket, running through OD Gaming with a clean 2-0. They then took revenge on Any Questions, sending their opponents packing after a close 3-2 slugfest.

In the Grand Final, Dragon Ranger Gaming smashed Rare Atom with a clean 3-0 sweep, thereby reclaiming their spot to fight at VCT 2026 China. Congratulations!
