South Africans qualify for RLCS 2024 Major 1 in Denmark
At the end of March 2024, Rocket League esports fans are in for a treat with the RLCS Major 1 event, taking place at the K.B Hallen Arena venue in Copenhagen, Denmark. We are excited to report that a team filled with South African players, Limitless, will be attending after their dominating performance during the Sub-Saharan Africa Open Qualifiers.
Limitless at RLCS 2024 Major 1
Limitless, previously known as May Contain Nuts if you’ve been following the scene for quite some time, has, in dominating fashion, qualified for the RLCS 2024 Major 1, where they will compete from 28 to 31 March 2024 for their share of the $255,000 prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R4.8 million.
Just by qualifying for the Major 1, they have already earned a piece of the prize pool. Speaking of which, Limitless won all three Open Qualifiers in the past couple of months to sit comfortably on top of the regional rankings in Sub-Saharan Africa and won a total of $18,000 in the process.
For those who don’t know yet, the Limitless team consists of three South African players and a Puerto Rican/American coach.
Limitless roster:
- David “2Die4” Morgenrood
- Gareth “Snowyy” Spiers
- Joshua “Sweaty” Kleynhans
- Aaron “Noxes” Cadiz (Coach)
We can’t wait to see what Limitless does on the international stage, competing against the best Rocket League teams in the world. Stay tuned to Esports Central as we will bring you a complete viewer’s guide for the RLCS 2024 Major 1 event, alongside the complete results when the event finishes up.
