South Africans at the RLCS World Championship 2023
Have you been following the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) sub-Saharan Africa events, with the Spring Invitational as the latest one to finish up? Well, now that the RLCS 2023 season is complete, we’ve got some fantastic news to share. Two teams, mostly filled with South African players, will compete on the biggest Rocket League stage this year!
ZA players at RLCS World Championship 2023
Following the Spring Invitational, two teams from the SSA region will compete at the RLCS World Championship 2023! These teams are mostly filled with players from South Africa.
If you’ve been following the RLCS SSA region at all, you would probably guess that Limitless (full of SA players) is one of the teams. Joining them is French Class, which also features two South African players! French Class beat Orlando Pirates Exdee with one point to make it to the RLCS World Championship, while is miles ahead of the competition.
The RLCS World Championship 2023 will take place at the PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf, Germany. 24 teams, including Limitless and French Class, will compete for their share of the massive $2.1 million prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R38 million!
