RLCS World Championship 2025 viewer’s guide

Attention, Rocket League esports fans! It’s that time of the year again, when the best in the world compete to become the world champions. Yes, the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) 2025 is coming to a thrilling conclusion this week, so strap in and let’s get to the most important details.

RLCS World Championship details

From 10 to 14 September 2025, the 20 best Rocket League teams from across the globe, including FUT Esports (a team filled with Spanish players representing the Sub-Saharan Africa region), are competing to see who’s the best in the business.

Organized by BLAST.tv and Epic Games, the teams are competing on LAN at the LDLC Arena in Lyon-Décines, France. There’s a huge $1,2 million prize pool on the line. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s over R21 million.

The action begins with the Play-In stage on 10 September, where all matches are best-of-five. Eight teams compete for only four spots in the Group Stage, while the rest are sent packing.

On 11 and 12 September, 12 qualified teams will be joined by the four Play-In teams and compete in the Group Stage, featuring two GSL-style groups of eight teams each. All matches are best-of-five, and the top four teams per group (eight total) advance to the Playoffs Stage.

From 13 to 14 September, the RLCS World Championship 2025 will come to a thrilling conclusion in the Playoffs Stage, featuring an AFL Final Eight system, where all matches are best-of-seven.
