RLCS 2025 Sub-Saharan Africa Open 5 results
The Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) continues to deliver top-tier action from the region for fans to enjoy and teams to compete in. If you missed it, you can now watch the RLCS 2025 SSA events on DStv! In case you couldn’t catch the action live, here’s what went down.
RLCS 2025 SSA Open 5 event results
In the Group Stage of RLCS 2025 SSA Open 5, we saw FUT Esports top Group A, with Limitless (filled with players from South Africa) in second place in the Swiss Stage. Then, we saw teams competing in the grueling Group Stage. As the dust settled over the Group Stage, eight teams made their way to the Playoffs.
FUT Esports showed no mercy in the Playoffs, beating 77Blocks with a 4-0 score, then Cristobal Colon 4-0 to reach the grand finals. Limitless beat Cristobal Colon 4-2, but then fell to 77Blocks in a close 4-3 Semifinals match.
In the Grand Final of RLCS 2025 SSA Open 5, it was made abundantly clear that FUT Esports is the best team competing in the region, as they beat 77Blocks with a sweeping 4-0 scoreline to claim the 1st-place prize.
Congratulations go out to the Spanish side FUT Esports, who represented the SSA region at the Birmingham Major. With the win, they are now guaranteed the one spot for the SSA region at the Raleigh Major.
