RLCS 2025 Sub-Saharan Africa Open 1 Results
Last year, Rocket League esports fans were treated to a tonne of high-octane action thanks to the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) Sub-Saharan Africa events. A team of local gamers made it to the World Championship in the USA. At the start of the RLCS 2025 season, the next big goal for teams is the Birmingham Major, and to get there, they must be the best in their region. That’s where the Sub-Saharan Africa events come into play, so let’s take a look at the results of Open 1.

After an exciting group stage, the final eight teams competed in a no-nonsense playoffs bracket, where all matches were best-of-seven. South African squad Limitless got off to a great start, beating CosmiCo Esports 4-2, and then a team called “Hey (with rizz)” in a close 4-3 during the semifinals.
On the other side of the bracket, Spanish side Maestros Del Esférico made quick work of Dunno Chief with a 4-1 victory and then went on to crush Ball Eater with a clean 4-0 win in dominating fashion. They then met Limitless in the grand finale of the RLCS 2025 Sub-Saharan Africa Open 1 event and smashed the South African side 4-0 to secure victory.
Congratulations go out to Spanish side Maestros Del Esférico on winning the RLCS 2025 Sub-Saharan Africa Open 1. They won $4,800 and 15 RLCS points, while Limitless took second place with $2,700 and 10 RLCS points.
