RLCS 2025 Birmingham Major viewer’s guide

Attention, Rocket League esports fans! It’s time for the massive RLCS 2025 Birmingham Major to begin this week, with finals this weekend promising non-stop action. Let’s take a look at the most important details so you don’t miss out.

RLCS Birmingham Major details

The RLCS 2025 Birmingham Major runs from 27 to 30 March 2025. It features the best 16 teams in the world, competing for their share of the $351,000 prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R6.36 million.

RLCS 2025 Birmingham Major is hosted by Epic Games and BLAST.tv. The Playoffs take place in front of a live crowd at the bp pulse LIVE venue in Birmingham, England. To get to the Playoffs, 16 teams will first compete in a Swiss System format, where all matches are BO5, with the top eight making their way through.

The Swiss Stage runs on 27 and 28 March 2025.

Teams competing:
  • Karmine Corp
  • Geekay Esports
  • Team Vitality
  • Dignitas
  • The Ultimates
  • NRG
  • Complexity Gaming
  • Wildcard Gaming
  • Gen.G Mobil1 Racing
  • Team Secret
  • Helfie Chiefs
  • FURIA
  • Team Falcons
  • Twisted Minds
  • Luminosity Gaming
  • FUT Esports

You’ll notice that the winner of the RLCS 2025 Sub-Saharan Africa region is FUT Esports, a Turkish organization. This squad is filled with Spanish players. Last time I checked, neither Turkey is in Sub-Saharan Africa. Limitless, filled with players from South Africa, ended the season in 2nd place and therefore, didn’t qualify for the RLCS 2025 Birmingham Major.

After that little rant, let’s continue. The Playoffs Stage of the RLCS 2025 Birmingham Major will take place on 29 and 30 March 2025, using the AFL Final Eight system format. All matches are BO7! You can watch all the action by tuning in to the official Rocket League and RLesports channels on Twitch.
