RLCS 2023 SSA Spring Invitational results
The last Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) Sub-Saharan Africa event before the World Championship occurred this past weekend. Here’s what went down during the RLCS 2023 SSA Spring Invitational, in case you missed any action featuring the best teams from the region.
RLCS 2023 Spring Invitational results
Limitless, filled with South African players and a coach from Puerto Rico. Except for a loss all the way back in the Winter Series against Nixuh, Limitless has been the dominating force in the SSA region, and it showed in the Spring Invitational.
Limitless started their RLCS Spring Invitational run by beating ICE Esports 3-0, then Team Fusion 3-0 and Pirates Exdee 4-1. However, French Class smacked Limitless down to the lower bracket in the upper bracket final (4-2), preventing a flawless run.
In the lower bracket final, Limitless defeated Pirates Exdee 4-1 to face French Class again, this time for revenge! It was an absolute banger of a grand final, with Limitless taking the first game and then French Class taking two wins in a row. Showing they are still the best in the region, Limitless managed to win the next three in a row in some close matches, closing out the RLCS 2023 Spring Invitational with a win!
The Limitless team:
- David “2Die4†Morgenrood
- Gareth “Snowyy†Spiers
- Ethan “Darth.†Deysel
- Aaron “Noxes†Cadiz (Coach)
Congratulations to Limitless for continuing their dominating streak. Limitless gets $6,000 for their efforts, while French Class walks away with $4,000.
Both Limitless and French Class have received invites to the World Championship’s Wildcard stage taking place in early August. We will update our readers further with more details on this amazing feat!
