Your guide to Rainbow Six Siege at EWC 2026

Are you ready for some intense Rainbow Six Siege (R6 Siege) esports action? Well, ready or not, here comes the huge R6 Siege tournament forming part of the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026 mega-event.

The tournament kicks off this week on 4 August 2026 and runs until 15 August 2026, offering tonnes of R6 Siege action. Teams are competing for their share of the massive $2 million prize pool, alongside a bunch of Club Championship points for their respective organizations. That’s roughly R35 million at the current exchange rate.

There are two Play-In phases leading to the Group Stage. During the Play-In stages, eight teams will duke it out for two spots in the main event’s Group Stage, joining 14 others who directly qualified. In the Group Stage of R6 Siege at EWC, there will be two groups of eight teams each, fighting their way through a double-elimination (GSL-style) format. Opening matches are BO1, and all other matches are BO3.

The top four teams from each group qualify for the single-elimination bracket Playoffs Stage. All matches in this stage of competition are BO3, except for the Grand Final, which is BO5.
