Team Secret dominates to win R6 Siege X event at EWC 2025
At the Esports World Cup 2025 Rainbow Six Siege X tournament (5 to 9 August), we saw the best teams in the world compete for a massive $2 million prize pool. That’s roughly R35 million, and the players fought their hearts out for a share in front of a live crowd at Boulevard Riyadh City, Qiddiya Arena, Saudi Arabia. Here’s how things went down.
EWC 2025 R6 Siege results
With 16 teams entering the arena, only eight made it out of the Group Stage. In Group A, it was Shopify Rebellion who came out on top, followed by Virtus.pro, Weibo Gaming, and G2 Esports. In Group B, we saw Team Secret claim the top spot, followed by Ninjas in Pyjamas, Spacestation, and FURIA.
The single-elimination Playoffs Stage didn’t disappoint, with Team Secret going on an incredibly dominating run, beating Weibo Gaming 2-0 in the Quarterfinals, and Spacestation 2-0 in the Semifinals to make it to the Grand Final.
On the other side of the bracket, it was G2 Esports who bounced back from their relatively poor performance in Group A to beat Ninjas in Pyjamas 2-1 in the Quarterfinals, and reverse-sweep FURIA 2-1 in the Semifinals.
In the Grand Final of the EWC 2025 R6 Siege X event, Team Secret could not be denied. They beat G2 Esports into a pulp with a 3-0 sweep to win the event!
Congratulations go out to Team Secret for winning the first-place prize of $750,000, as well as 1,000 EWC Club Points. Their support player, Adrian “Adrian” Tryka, picked up the MVP award, and therefore, another $10,000 goes into his pocket.
