PUBG Mobile announces #PlayItForward Campaign
PUBG Mobile has announced their #PlayItForward campaign. This unique campaign will see red loot crates dropped off at local universities and colleges, with prizes on offer.
Over R50,000 in prizes are on offer, including two bursaries, and spot giveaways. The giveaways include PUBG Mobile merchandise and Chicken Dinners for students and their friends.
The crates will be dropped at a university or college which generates the most support from its PUBGM ambassadors.
How it works
Students can become ambassadors through the PUBGM website. Each institution will be allocated a unique code. The more students that download the game using the code, the more likely the loot will drop on their campus. The two universities or colleges with the most downloads will see the arrival of the loot crates.
A R25,000 bursary per institution will be awarded to the winner of a Single Classic game. The PUBGM ambassadors at the same two institutions will battle for another R25,000 bursary. This will be up for grabs in an ambassador-exclusive game.
PUBG Mobile Brand Ambassador
Brand Ambassadors will have access to weekly challenges and events, with various prizes up for grabs. The mission of the ambassadors is to garner support by getting their fellow students to download, install and play PUBG MOBILE.
Multiple brand ambassadors will be available per college or university. All ambassadors will be given access to the PUBGM team via WhatsApp, to provide the tools needed to secure the loot.
This unique campaign is about making gaming ‘more accessible’ according to Tramayne Monaghan, Head of PUBG Mobile in Africa:
“This initiative is part of our broader plan of making sure that gaming is more accessible, that gaming supports higher education, and – most exciting – that gaming supports positive community involvement. Making a positive impact in the lives of students is big on our agenda. We know that educational fees can be a huge burden for our players, and we want to do our bit in supporting them with things that really matter in their world. That’s what ‘playing it forward’ means to us.”
