EWC 2025 StarCraft II details
This week, from 22 to 25 July 2025, 18 of the best StarCraft II players will compete for their share of the $700,000 prize pool. At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R12.3 million! Four players are first competing in the Play-In stage, and the top two will advance to the 16-player main event.
The main event features a Group Stage, which works in a double-elimination bracket (two groups), where opening matches are BO3, and all other matches are BO5. The top four from each group move on to the Playoffs Stage.
In the Playoffs Stage, we’ll see the remaining eight players compete in a single-elimination bracket, where Quarterfinals and Semifinals matches are BO5, the third-place match is BO7, and the Grand Final is BO9.
