Vodacom Supercup Series for FIFA and PUBG Mobile Announced
Vodacom and Mettlestate have announced the Vodacom Supercup Series. In these dire times of no sport and social engagement, the Vodacom Super Rugby Series obviously needed another home. Enter esports and the digital realm.
The Supercup Series will feature three weekly cups. Two weeks will be for the FIFA 20 fans, and one week will be set aside for PUBG Mobile. Gamers will compete against one another until two are left standing. The rugby players will do the same on the following day. The two gamers will then find themselves going toe-to-toe (virtually of course) with the Vodacom Super Rugby players.
The gamers will compete on the Wednesday, while the rugby players will play on the Thursday. Friday brings everything to a conclusion, and will be streamed live. Additionally, Sam ‘Tech Girl’ Wright will be interviewing the Super Rugby players, with everyone recording their qualifiers. Footage will be made available on YouTube.
The dates for the various weekly cups are as follows:
- FIFA 20: 8-10 April (registrations from 3 April)
- PUBG Mobile: 15-17 April (registrations from 7 April)
- FIFA 20: 22-24 April (registrations from 14 April)
All registrations will be hosted on the Mettlestate Supercup page.
Registrations are free and each week, prizes will be distributed as follows:
