TTGE Survive to Drive GT Challenge features R5,000 prize pool
Back in mid-2021, Toyota South Africa and African Cyber Gaming League (ACGL) partnered up to create The Toyota Gaming Engine (TTGE). Since then, multiple tournaments have taken place, including Time Trial events for local gamers to enjoy. The latest of these is the TTGE Survive to Drive GT Challenge. Here’s what you need to know.
Survive to Drive GT Challenge details
First up, this is a Gran Turismo 7 event, so it is only open to those with a PS4 or 5 and a PSN ID. You can sign up free by heading to the Survive to Drive page on TTGE today. Despite the free entry, a prize pool of R5,000 per month is on the line.
Prize pool distribution:
- 1st place – R2,500
- 2nd place – R1,500
- 3rd place – R1,000
All players must reside(currently live in) a Sub-Saharan African country. Lap 1 of the event is already underway, but you can still enter, as this is a Time Trial tournament.
Lap 1 details:
- Track: Fuji International Speedway
- Car: Toyota GR Yaris
- Settings: Weather: Noon | Dynamic Weather Off | Clear
- Submissions open: 10 October 10:00
- Submissions close: 24 October 10:00
Lap 1 features the R5,000 prize pool, and another (Lap 2) starting on 14 November with another R5,000 prize pool from what we can gather, as TTGE did say, “monthly cash prizes”. You can head over to the event’s page to sign up and read through the rules and how you should submit your times.
