Three Mettlestate tournaments taking place this weekend
South African tournament organizer Mettlestate has three tournaments for local esports fans to enjoy this coming weekend. Here’s what you need to know about the three tournaments from Mettlestate, in partnership with ASUS ROG.
Brawlhalla cup
Registration for the Mettlestate Brawlhalla cup is open, and you can head on over to the tournament’s page to enter. Registrations close on 20 June at 19:00, and the cup starts the next day on 21 June at 15:00. There’s R1,000 up for grabs.
The prize pool distribution:
- 1st place – R500
- 2nd place – R300
- 3rd place – R200
Mettlestate’s Brawlhalla cup is a 1v1 affair, which will be played in a double-elimination format. PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch players can enter.
Modern Warfare cup
Registration for the Mettlestate Modern Warfare cup is open, and you can head on over to the tournament’s page to enter. Registrations close on 19 June at 21:00, and the cup starts the next day on 20 June at 15:00.
There’s R2,000 up in prize money to fight for, so grab a friend and join in on the Gunfight tournament.
The prize pool distribution:
- 1st place – R1,000
- 2nd place – R600
- 3rd place – R400
This tournament is a 2v2 Gunfight cup, with a single-elimination bracket. PC, PS4 and Xbox One gamers can enter.
FIFA 20 cup
Last, but not least, there’s the FIFA 20 cup. Registrations are open and you can head on over to the tournament’s page to enter. Registrations close on 20 June at 19:00, and the cup starts the next day on 21 June at 15:00. There’s R1,000 up for grabs.
The prize pool distribution:
- 1st place – R500
- 2nd place – R300
- 3rd place – R200
This is a 1v1 cup, with the format yet to be announced. This tournament is open to PS4 players.
