Six Invitational 2022 – Final results and standings

Over the past weekend, the massive Six Invitational 2022 finished up, offering incredible Rainbow Six Siege esports action for fans to enjoy. We saw comebacks, insanely close matches and more. The tournament, hosted by ESL and Ubisoft, was an offline event held in Stockholm, Sweden at the Stockholmsmässan (Stockholm International Fairs exhibition facility) and the production was just breathtaking.

Six Invitational 2022 results

20 of the best Rainbow Six Siege teams in the world competed for their share of the massive $3 million prize pool. To put this into a local perspective, that’s over R45 million at the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate. During the group stage, 20 teams competed and were whittled down to 16.

In the playoffs, following a double-elimination bracket format, we saw TSM bulldoze through the Upper Bracket until they met Team Empire in the Upper Final. Empire then knocked TSM down to the Lower Bracket. TSM showed their resolve by making quick work of FaZe Clan to claim a spot in the Grand Final.

During the Grand Final of the Six Invitational 2022 tournament, TSM took their revenge on Team Empire, winning the first two maps. Although Team Empire attempted to make a comeback by winning the third map, TSM simply could not be denied the title of World Champions. They closed out the series with a 3-1 victory.

Final results and standings:
  • 1st place – TSM wins $1,000,000.
  • 2nd place – Team Empire wins $450,000.
  • 3rd place – FaZe Clan wins $240,000.
  • 4th place – MIBR wins $170,000.
  • 5th to 6th place – Team Liquid and Soniqs win $135,000 each.
  • 7th to 8th place – Oxygen Esports and DarkZero Esports win $105,000 each.
  • 9th to 12th place – DAMWON Gaming, Spacestation, FURIA and Elevate win $75,000 each.
  • 13th to 16th place – MNM Gaming, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Na’Vi and Rogue win $55,000 each.
  • 17th to 20th place – SANDBOX Gaming, CYCLOPS, Team BDS and Team oNe eSports win $35,000 each.

A big congratulations go out to TSM for winning the Six Invitational 2022. Their star player, Matthew “Achieved” Solomon was the tournament MVP.
