RLCS SSA Fall Cup taking place this weekend

Following the RLCS (22/23) Sub-Saharan Africa Fall Open event, which took place earlier in October, and May Contain Nuts won in dominating fashion, the next SSA tournament is taking place this weekend. Here’s what you need to know about the RLCS SSA Fall Cup.

This weekend, from 28 to 30 October 2022, 16 qualified Sub-Saharan Africa Rocket League teams (mostly comprised of South African players, will compete for their share of the $20,000 prize pool.  At the current Dollar to Rand exchange rate, that’s roughly R370,000 and some RLCS points.

The RLCS SSA Fall Cup starts on 28 October with the Swiss System Format, where all matches are best-of-five. The top eight teams following the Swiss Stage will head to the playoffs, while the bottom eight will be eliminated.

The playoffs feature a single-elimination bracket format, with teams seeded based on their standings from the Swiss Stage. All matches in the playoffs are best-of-seven. The winner will walk away with $6,000.
