NAG BYOC LAN at rAge Expo 2023 this weekend
There’s nothing quite like an old-school LAN, where gamers bring their equipment and game for days on end with like-minded individuals! That’s why you shouldn’t miss out on the NAG Bring Your Own Computer (BYOC) LAN event taking place at rAge Expo 2023 this weekend. Here’s what you need to know.
NAG LAN 2023 details
Dubbed South Africa’s largest three-day, twenty-four-hour celebration of gaming, NAG LAN 2023 at rAge Expo promises to deliver an unforgettable experience, both for older gamers and the younger crowd. It takes place at the Gallagher Convention Centre, which is a convention centre in Midrand, Gauteng.

There are two types of tickets available to purchase via Howler. Check out the details below.
- BYOC LAN General Pass – R950 per person – General Pass is a standard 3-Day LAN ticket. This ticket gives you access into the LAN from 06h00 on Friday to 15h00 on Sunday.
- BYOC LAN Super Pass – R1,250 per person – Super Pass is an extended 4-Day LAN ticket. This ticket gives you access into the LAN from 18h00 on Thursday to 15h00 on Sunday.

So, what does the ticket get you? Check out the details below:
- A chair (or you can bring your own)
- A shared trestle table (between two people)
- Two dedicated plug outlets to power your PC/console and monitor
- High-speed internet connection
- Network infrastructure, which includes one network cable
- Access to rAge Expo for all three days
The rAge Expo weekend pass alone costs R420, so you really are getting a good deal since this is a full three-day experience. The organizers shared some additional details and rules.
NAG LAN details/rules
- There is no reserved seating for Super Pass or General Pass ticket holders. Seating is on a first come first serve basis for all ticket holders. You can hold seats for your friends if you arrive before they do.
- The LAN is a secured and restricted area – you cannot enter without a BYOC LAN Pass ticket/wristband.
- Your LAN ticket acts as an expo pass, meaning you can enjoy everything that rAge Expo has to offer on all of the days.
- You will need to bring your gaming rig – PC/console/laptop, monitor, keyboard/gamepad, mouse, headphones, games i.e. your whole gaming rig.
